Practiced for centuries by cultures around the world, detoxing can help the body's natural cleansing process by:
>>>Allowing the organs to rest
>>>>>>Increase elimination through the intestines, kidneys & skin
>>>>>>>>>Stimulating the liver to push toxins from the body
>>>>>>>>>>>>Fueling the body with essential nutrients
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Improving blood circulation
"Detoxification works because it addresses the needs of individual CELLS,
the smallest units of human life,"
says Peter Bennett, N.D., co-author of 7-Day Detox Miracle.
But how do we know if we need to detox?
Well, that is a loaded question! A slow buildup of toxins in your body can present symptoms in a variety of ways. Some symptoms you may not even notice… or maybe just that feeling “off”.
If you are experiencing any of the following, a detox might be in order!
- Problems sleeping
- Cravings- especially sugar cravings
- Sluggish elimination
- Trouble losing weight
- Irritated skin
- Constant infections
- Puffy eyes or bags under the eyes
- Constantly stressed
- Feeling “unwell”
- Menstrual problems
- Mental confusion
- Foggy brain
- Hormone imbalances
- Memory loss
- Lack of vitality
- Lack of focus
- Struggle with bad breath
- Struggle with body odor
- Develop Cold Sores often
Physicians have been seeing increasing symptoms of toxicity in their patients over the last few decades.
If you are considering a detox, abstain from or rid the body of toxic or unhealthy substances first. Eliminate food and drinks such as alcohol, coffee, refined sugars, refined flours, and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process.
Also, don’t use chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants, and toothpaste).
Use plant-based alternatives for all your household, personal and beauty needs. This is why I use Young Living products because they are all plant-based and will not contribute to my body’s toxic load.
Detoxing my body and the home was instrumental for me getting a handle of my autoimmune issues. Read my story here.
